OTA Install

OTA Install Site

It is now possible to use the main website at http://kinross-wap.net for installing AMS on BlackBerry. When visiting this page it will attempt to suggest the correct AMS version for your BlackBerry Model. If you have any problems you can download a specific version for your OS at http://kinross-wap.net/bb.

To install AMS Over The Air directly from your device:

1. Start the BlackBerry Browser and go to http://kinross-wap.net. Click on the 'Install' link for your OS version and follow the on screen instructions.

2. Run AMS to enter your mobile account details. Usually AMS is installed in the 'Downloads' folder by default.

3. After login your templates will be automatically updated. You can then start sending and receiving AMS messages.

At any time you can manage your AMS settings to enable features like SSL and auto delete.

General Troubleshooting

You can test your connection to the AMS gateway by using the "Test Connection" menu option which is located on the "Settings" screen of AMS. The "Settings" screen can be accessed from the main AMS application menu.

If you are using an MDS connection ensure that your service book allows access to the internet and specifically the host ams.kinrossgroup.com.

Troubleshooting

If you get a message like "No additional applications for your device were found" during a desktop install please refer to this post on allbalckberry.com which covers some of the main causes.
